Set Aside a CCJ – Fixed Fee Support

If you have received a County Court Judgment that you were unaware of or did not have a fair chance to respond to, I can advise on and prepare your application to have it set aside on a fixed-fee basis.

Why people instruct me for CCJ set-aside applications

  • Fixed-fee clarity

  • Full preparation of your N244 application

  • Supporting witness statement drafted for you

  • Clear advice on prospects and the evidence needed

  • Fast turnaround for urgent cases

  • Optional representation at the hearing

What a CCJ set-aside application is

If you did not receive the claim form, were unable to respond in time, or did not have a fair opportunity to defend the claim, you may be able to ask the court to set aside the judgment. This is done using an N244 application supported by a detailed witness statement.

Judges expect a properly prepared explanation of why the claim was not defended, the details of any arguable defence, and evidence supporting the application. A clear, well-structured application significantly improves your prospects of success.

I prepare the application, draft your evidence and advise you on the strength of the application and what to expect at the hearing.

What’s included in the fixed-fee set-aside service

  • Full review of the claim documents and the CCJ

  • Drafting the N244 application

  • Drafting your supporting witness statement

  • Advising on your defence and prospects

  • Identifying the evidence the court will need

  • Preparing written submissions where appropriate

  • Clear guidance on hearings and procedure
