What an interim injunction is
An interim injunction is a court order designed to preserve the position between parties until a final hearing or further order. You may be able to apply if the other party is threatening to:
sell or dispose of property,
remove goods,
breach a contract,
misuse confidential information,
cause financial or reputational harm, or
take other steps that would make a later judgment ineffective.
The court will consider:
whether you have a serious issue to be tried,
whether damages would be an adequate remedy, and
the balance of convenience between the parties.
An interim injunction application must be supported by a detailed witness statement and clear submissions explaining why the court should intervene urgently.
I prepare the application, draft your evidence, advise on prospects, and guide you through the urgent hearing process.
